1168675 - Weird character following comment author names

Description

See attached screenshot. In bugzilla, the character looks like a bottom left corner of some sort, with an underline. Interestingly, in the inspector, it looks like a down arrow without a tail, which I guess is what's expected to be displayed because that would make sense. So whatever font it ends up using on bugzilla doesn't have the right character, and whatever font it uses in the devtools does.

It gets better.
If I copy/paste the character in this text field, it looks as a plain downwards arrow without a tail. If I copy/paste it in Mozilla UI (e.g. the search box), it does look the same as well. If I copy/paste it in the search box on www.google.com, it looks like a non-plain arrow without a tail, pointing to the *right*.

There is probably something fishy with my profile... it doesn't happen on a fresh profile with the same version of Firefox O_o.

(also, the same arrow on attachments in bugzilla look like the same as in the google search box, so the same character appears as three different characters depending where it is in the bugzilla page)

In fact, I just noticed, comparing to the other instance, that all arrows are essentially wrong.

After disabling all addons, restarting, seeing that it worked fine again, and reenabling all addons by groups, and seeing that nothing made it appear again, I'm inclined to think that is either something that manifests itself after a while, or something that was triggered somehow by some system files being upgraded while firefox was running.
