Starting with a few releases ago (I don't remember exactly with which one), my console behaves weird: when I hit enter it runs the command but also inserts the newline in the prompt. Here's a screenshot for a better understanding - http://i.imgur.com/N01Vc0r.png
It becomes really annoying when trying to debug some page, I have to remove all the newlines often to see the output.

I've tried with a new profile and with all the addons disabled and it's the same.

Is there any way to remove this feature/bug?

I can't reproduce this, we need more information like the contents of about:support for starters.

I see that you are using IceWeasel, which has modified Firefox in ways that I am not familiar with. Could you try a build from mozilla.org and see if that has the same problem?

Well, I downloaded firefox, ran it, didn't have the problem, started iceweasel, now it's OK in here too.
Did firefox overwrote something in my profile?

I made a profile before running firefox and after a lot of diff-ing files I found the exact (missing) line that triggers the bad behavior: "user_pref("devtools.selfxss.count", 5);".
My old profile didn't have it, with it it behaves normally. If I delete that line it acts like reported before. Tried it multiple times with the same results.
I also tried removing that line when running firefox and it doesn't affect it.
