valid_login docs do not mention API keys

Details
Neither the user guide[1] nor the API docs[2] mention how to verify an API key using valid_login() (using 'api_key' instead of 'token'). Furthermore, the API docs say that the function will be removed after 5.0, which is not true--only support for 'token' will be removed. We should also update the user guide to indicate this. In my defense, When I wrote the docs, valid_login was going to be removed :)
