User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_3) AppleWebKit/600.6.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0.6 Safari/600.6.3

Steps to reproduce:

Currently, I can only click an the "archive" button and the messages is moved to my defined archive folder. However, it would be much more useful for people with a complex mailbox structure to e.g. archive mailing list mails or project-specific mails to a different mailbox instead of the defined archive folder.

Expected results:

I would like to suggest improving the archive button functionality as follows: Have a button that looks like the reply-all button with a little downwards arrow where I can click archive and choose another frequently used folder, e.g. "department mailing list" instead of my "archive" folder.

For people with a complex mailbox structure, it would be much more useful to e.g. archive mailing list mails or project-specific mails to a different mailbox instead of the defined archive folder by just clicking the archive button. Currently, I don't want to archive certain project oder mailing list mails all in one archive folder, where I only want to store my personal archived communication. Mailing lists should instead be archived in a different folder. Since I don't have folders for all mailing lists, the archive button could even auto detect to which folders I regularly drag and drop mails to and provide them as preselection for archiving.

You're in luck, for tb38 (soon to be released) you can set up a filter rule to be applied on archiving, then the archive button will run the archiving filter rules.
