If understand correctly, the current situation is:
- Firefox in Safe mode works correctly
- Firefox w/o Safe mode uses lots of RAM (2.5 GB on the last screenshot)
(not sure about the "black screen" part of the problem...)

If that's the case, you should check if it's one of your extensions that causes the problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems#w_disable-all-extensions
