This is a (very) low-volume startup crash that only occurs on OSX.
The reports I looked at all had libwep_ff.dylib on the stack -
is this one of our libs or is it a binary extension / plugin ?

Probably not worth tracking this unless the volume goes up or
if we have STR.

libwep is from Websense Endpoint Protection, a security-related program installed by my company's IT department. I have worked with them to uninstall it (temporarily), and am currently able to launch Firefox. I will not be allowed to keep it off of my machine though. They're going to open a ticket with Websense to see if there is something they can do about this issue.

I will post a followup when I learn more.

Websense told my IT security guy that the problem is due to some kind of Firefox API version changing with each release. As a result, they constantly have to issue an update to allow new versions of Firefox to work with their Websense Endpoint Protection software.
