User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150525141253

Steps to reproduce:

Click on Firefox Icon in Menu "Open in New Window".

Actual results:

Open new window but not private.

Expected results:

Keep private browsing. (especially for those not using Tabs)
If you want a new private window, why don't you click the New Private Window button?
Severity: normal → enhancement

Ha?
We should click only once to get into Private mode. From that point on, the use should be like a normal browser... New Window button, is one of what I'm used to get a new window, like Ctrl+N.

I want an even more complex behaviour:

  1. Left clicking the PW: open a vertical menu consisting of
  • opened PW visually identical with how tabs are listed on the tab bar (but vertically arranged) with ability to switch to a PW and ability to close a PW with a close button identical to tab close button
  • new PW button/item
  • exit all PW
  1. Right clicking the PW: open a new PW
  2. Middle click: close all opened PW

User should be able to choose in about:config what left and right clicks do (so OP could make left click open a new PW, while I would prefer to make left click view the PW menu)

Severity: normal → S3
