User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0
Build ID: 20150417180217

Steps to reproduce:

Installed Thunderbird 38.0 (beta channel) into my home (Downloaded from mozilla.org, Ubuntu Mint 64bit). Installed Lightning 4.0b3 - works. Automatic update installed 4.0b6 - now addon manager lists Lightning as "disabled" without button to enable. So I removed Lightning 4.0b6 and tried to reinstall it.

Actual results:

That did not work, thunderbird complained that this plugin is not compatible with Thunderbird 38.0.

Expected results:

Either Lightning 4.0b6 should install with Thunderbird 38 or not be listed compatible with Thunderbird 38 on addons.mozilla.org (and thus no auto-update).

This could be worked around by modifying install.rdf and replace
     <em:targetPlatform>Linux_x86-gcc3</em:targetPlatform>
with
    <em:realTargetPlatform>Linux_x86-gcc3</em:realTargetPlatform>
.

fallen, would this have been a problem only in the beta stage?
I'm not sure 4.0b6 is compatible with TB 38

I think this has been fixed for later versions and I'm not going to spin another Lightning 4.0 beta to fix this. If this is still the case for later betas, please reopen.
