Steps to reproduce:

I have Enigmail installed on Thunderbird 31.7.0 for OS X.  Enigmail frequently pops up alerts in the background stating that my PGP key is invalid (this is a separate issue).

If I choose to save an attachment in my currently open email, and the Enigmail Alert pops up in the background before I select to save my attachment, I cannot dismiss either the Save File dialog or the Enigmail Alert dialog.  Clicking either Save or Cancel in the save file dialog does not work, and I cannot click OK to dismiss to the Enigmail alert as the Save File dialog does not allow me to interact with other application windows.


Actual results:

Thunderbird is essentially unresponsive.  It will continue checking for new email in the background, but I cannot interact with any of the windows.  I am unable to safely quit Thunderbird because of the two dialogs that pop up.


Expected results:

I should be able to continue saving my file (or canceling the Save Attachment dialog) in spite of the alert in the background.

Yes, I observe the bug on OS X.  It does indeed look like a dupe of bug 476541 (wow, 6 years old at this point), sorry that I hadn't found that bug when searching (I did dig around a little prior to posting my bug, honest =)).

Yes, it is an old bug. However it was a core bug, not TB only.

I found myself on the same -related- problem and filed a bug. Some other person had to mark it as a duplicate. That bug seems a little bit hidden hehehehehe.
