Bug 867838 introduced a minimize mode for the bottom-docked toolbox, which is nice because it allows to hide the toolbox temporarily if you need more space for the site but still want to keep the toolbox initialized to preserve context.

While discussing this feature with people, a suggestion emerged: pin mode.
This would be a replacement for the minimize mode.

- Instead of the minimize button, it would be a pin button instead.
- By default the toolbox would be "pinned", which means it would behave as today, it would stay visible all the time.
- Users could unpin the toolbox which would minimize it as in bug 867838.
- While unpinned, the toolbox would appear when you click on tools, and would remain visible as long as your mouse hovers over the tools.
- When mouse-leaving the toolbox in unpinned mode, the toolbox would minimize again.

This sounded like a good enough idea that I filed the bug. Worth experimenting with.

Also I don't see why this shouldn't be able to work in side-docked mode, but that's probably for another bug because the toolbar/tabs are still at the top in side-docked mode, so once minimized, the toolbar wouldn't be visible.
