User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 2015051400 Steps to reproduce: Navigate to specific pages with flash video, e.g. https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/office/dn756399. Actual results: Some videos do not start in Firefox 38.0.1 for OpenSuse. Depending on release of shockwave flash plugin, nothing happens or infinitely looping circle is shown. Currently OpenSuse was updated to shockwave flash 11,2,202,466, result ist blank flash canvas, no error message, nothing. Cross test on OpenSuse 13.1 with Konquerer 4.11.5. SAME flash plugin version, as Konquerer searches for existing plugins if Firefox exists and resuses them. *** WORKS FINE *** on Konquerer, so must be a Firefox bug. Bug happens NOT ON ALL pages, many flash videos runs fine. Similar sounding bug found, but that was in connection to adblock: I've DISABLED adblock for the flash test, no change, also not starting. Expected results: Video should be played

YES, it is reproducible with a fresh profile. Maybe of interest: When starting firefox from a bash windows with "firefox -P", so all output is displayed in this bash session, directly after clicking on video link, a warning is dropped, both for original profile and fresh profile: Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden remark: file not found. Maybe not of interest, as I don't have an NVIDIA adapter

I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
