Steps to reproduce:

Use Thunderbird normally, start select different mail folders.


Actual results:

The list of mails doesn't update and keeps showing the contents of the previous folder until you mouse over it, then the screen is updated. Seems to be similar to this Firefox bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1157784


Expected results:

The screen should be updated to reflect the changed mail folder.

Does it reproduce if you start thunderbird in safe mode?

I couldn't reproduce it in safe mode, but it does happen on a vanilla profile without any addons.

I just found out that turning hardware acceleration off also seems to stop it from happening. I'm using a Radeon R9 270 with the current 15.5 Catalyst Beta driver on Win 7 x64 Ultimate, but it is also happening on a Laptop with Win 8.1 x64 using Intel integrated GFX with the default Windows drivers.

Please uncheck hardware acceleration at tools | options | advanced | general.

Do you still have problems in version 45 with HWA enabled?  (the bug you mentioned in comment 0 was fixed in version 45)

If you do still see problems, is it  better with (in this order)
1. current beta version from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ ?
2. latest video drivers ?
