Steps to reproduce:

1. Setup 2 remembered wifi networks (one wpa2 and another wpa-eap with peap authentication
2. Use the phone for a few weeks applying nightly updates often
3. ??? (I don't know what triggers it)



Actual results:

The remembered wifi networks disappear and need to be reconfigured.


Expected results:

They should stay there

This happened a few times and is extremely annoying. Specially worse because I don't know my wpa2 password by heart for security reasons.

Extra info:
1. This is on the 2.2 branch
2. The networks don't seem to disappear just after the nightly updates
3. I have wifi sleep enabled
4. I believe just using the phone for a few weeks will reproduce it.
5. It's been some time since I last reset my profile.

I'm willing to try special dev builds or hacks to help analyze the issue.

Could you turn on wifi debuggging and capture some logcats please?
The wifi information is stored outside of b2g, so I find it odd that it is getting wiped just by OTA... 
There might be something else that is going on.

Just happened again. I save the output from adb logcat but I'm not sure it includes the exact moment the list was wiped. Also, I don't want to post it here because it contains personal information so if you want to take a look I can send it somewhere.

Anyway, what can I do to help fix it or improve my error report?

It is the wif-fi output in adb option.
Any time you do a full flash of the device it will reset your wifi information. ie "special dev builds"

I'm just doing the normal nightly OTA update and this doesn't seem to happen immediately after it happens.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on Aries at central, or on Flame at 2.2. Note that we're unable to follow this step:

We do have devices that apply nightly updates daily, but we also flash those devices from time to time. Also I think we haven't been doing 2.2 OTA for a long time now, which seems to be the affected branch.

For this bug I flashed device to an older build, made device remember 2 wifi APs, enabled wifi sleep, browsed web, OTA'ed to today's build, browsed web, let the device idle for some moments, and checked to see it still remembered both APs.

After testing on Aries 2.5 and Flame 2.2 builds, I was also unable to reproduce this issue.
After connecting with multiple Wi-Fi access points (both WPA and WPA2), I enabled Wi-Fi Sleep, restarted the device, browsed the web and let the device idle for several minutes.  I then ran a system OTA, and repeated these steps. The device never forgot or lost connection to these networks throughout testing.
