The Chocolatey Package Provider for Puppet recently matured to its 1.0.0 release (https://forge.puppetlabs.com/chocolatey/chocolatey) and is the forward-looking extensible package management provider being promoted by Puppet for Windows installations. It simplifies package manifests and provides a better range of packages (for Windows) than modules available in PuppetForge because Chocolatey & OneGet are also fast becoming widespread package managers outside of the Puppet world. The Chocolatey Puppet module allows Puppet to leverage Chocolatey goodness.
