Something like https://github.com/rail/build-funsize/blob/master/funsize/backend/mbsdiff_hook.sh but for S3.

Example usage:
https://github.com/mozilla/build-funsize/blob/a6b2e294b29fe4982d27a8a8426524feddd07e0d/tests/travis_integration_tests.sh#L19-L20

Build system support:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/c9a79ec16280/tools/update-packaging/make_incremental_update.sh#l185

With local cache enabled and chunking in place I don't think it's worth to spend time on this bug. Adding and managing cache buckets, frequent network operations may add extra churn.
