Cannot Download Music from Amazon Music Library

Set about:preferences#general to 'Downloads: Always ask me where to save files'
 
 
In your Amazon Music Library:

Go to Songs
Select one of your songs
Click Download (1)
> Dialog comes up about some "app", but has an option, "No thanks, just download my MP3 instead"
Choose the option to "just download"
> Download dialog pops up
Click 'Save File' button
> Wait for 5 seconds
Click OK

Results: No file was downloaded
Expected: File should have downloaded
 
 
SeaMonkey 2.33.1 is likewise affected.
In SeaMonkey's Error Console I see:

> Error: NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE: Async version must be used
> Source File: resource://gre/components/nsHelperAppDlg.js
> Line: 209

FF 28 fails with:

And that /kind/ of sounds like, Bug 1115248 - Can't downloads MP3s from Amazon music due to chrome code throwing exceptions, but that should be fixed in FF 38, right?

In any case, the file is downloading as expected with FF 42.0a1, https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/079b6f1ae1c3, so if not the above bug, then perhaps something associated, that was fixed in the later builds.

SeaMonkey 2.38a1, http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/eaf4f9b45117, still fails & I can't seem to come up with anything related in Error Console.

Most likely this is a DUP of:
