From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7+) Gecko/20011231 BuildID: 2001123121 When adding address' from addressbook in the compose window, selecting multiple address' and the pressing enter exits the window as if pressing OK. This action should instead add the highlighted messages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open compose message window 2.Click on "Address" 3.Select multiple address' from the list of email address'. 4.Press 'enter' Actual Results: Window closes and no addresses are in the 'to' address bar. Expected Results: Either of the following. 1. Window closes and the selected address' are added to the 'to:' address bar. or 2. Address are added to the bottom section to later be put into 'to' section of adderss bar, leaving the ability to add more address'.
Confirming on 2002010203, Win95. Not related to multiple messages. Not a focus problem: 1. Select an address 2. Use Tab key to make "Ok" receiving focus. 3. Press Enter key. Actual results: Select Address dialog is cancelled, nothing is imported in the recipient list. Changing summary from "Pressing enter after selecting multiple address' should add those address to recipient" to "Enter key always dismiss Select Address dialog". OS->All. Imo, correct behaviour should be a. Do nothing when pressing Enter immediately after selecting one or more addresses b. Import selected addresses to recipient list, if "Ok" has focus.

Summary: Pressing enter after selecting multiple address' should add those address to recipient → Enter key always dismiss Select Address dialog
I'd like to see the 4.x behavior implemented for this dialog. Hitting Enter activates the "To" button. If user selects "Cc" button, Enter now activates the "Cc" button. Bcc as well. If the collection area has focus, Enter will activate the "OK" button.

I think if we want to do this, we should make sure OK doesn't have focus.

Comm Trunk build 2002-01-25-03: WinMe Comm Trunk build 2002-01-28-08: Linux RH 7.1 It appears to be working for me. In a new message/compose window I select the Address button. In the Select Addresses dialog I select an address, click on To so it adds it to the bottom pane, hit the Enter key and the Select Addresses dialog closes. The address area in the new message/compose window displays the addresses as expected.
