The reason for the close sign is that the profile appears more like an overlay, as in the transition for this screen starts at the bottom of the page and moves to the top. Therefore, the 'X' makes more sense then a back button. Currently there are no transitions in Bugzilla Lite but we are working on adding that in. ni? on Amy to confirm that the transition I have mentioned is the right one for this screen.

Hi, I took a look at the overall transitions we use in the OS and it seems to be that screens that in from the bottom are options screens and dialogues (see SMS, email). Unless the action is taking you outside the app, the transition should be screens sliding from right to left with a back arrow icon to return to previous screen. For Bugzilla Lite, tapping on a bug in list view, creating new bug, and viewing profile should all have the screen sliding in from right to left and with a back arrow to return to previous screen.
