Details
(part of a series of bugs filed so we can avoid my/someone needing a loaner again to figure out dll hell stuff on Windows; many thanks to the folks in the CC list for helping me figure stuff out, please move this bug as appropriate) It would be great if, if the build times out due to the process timeout (bug 1147271; "4800 seconds of no output") we had screenshots. I realize we're in the process of moving to docker (cc :mrrrgan), but AIUI that will still take a while esp. on Windows (where this seems to happen more than elsewhere?).

rail, can we use this bug for the work? The other one is going to be full of noise.

FWIW, the duped-to bug is about test timeouts, and we have screenshots for test failures (but not for some types of test timeouts, presumably). For builds rather than tests, we never have screenshots. Seems like that might take different (maybe also: more) work to set up.

Oh, nevermind me, that's just the summary being misleading, apparently...

We could stick binaries of the in-tree screenshot tools in tooltool and add some mozharness magic to run them when a build times out. We'd probably have to fix the various cases where mozharness itself times out right now and buildbot kills it (although that could be a followup).
