Constantly appears "Application error plugin-container.exe, version 38.0.5.5623, module mozalloc.dll, version 38.0.5.5623, address 0x00001aa1" in Windows Event Log. The last few crashes look like either OOM (no more available memory) or flash crashes, though some of the old ones also feature windows media player... Georg, can you make something out of the crash reports here?

The crash from comment 5 is unrelated to plugins, and appears to be bug 1233481. The common thread here appears to be running out of memory. None of these are "unsafe" crashes, so the next step is to use about:memory to figure out why you're running out of memory: it could be a particular website, a Firefox bug, an addon bug, or even other 3rd-party software that is sticking itself into Firefox. You have a bunch of addons installed. Have you tried disabling some or all of them to see if that causes this issue to stop?

You have a bunch of addons installed. Have you tried disabling some or all of them to see if that causes this issue to stop? no, because all of these crashes were after shockwave-plugin hangs the Fx.
Resolving as wont fix, plugin support deprecated in Firefox 85.
