Icons help users with fast recognition, to be most effective the user should encounter the icon before they read the text in an LTR language this means putting them to the left of the text. This is such a common UX convention that when our users create buttons manually on MDN they follow this convention, however, our styles are not set up to support this and the margins look wrong. Examples: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Apps/Reference_apps/Face_value https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/CSS/Using_CSS_animations/Detecting_CSS_animation_support https://github.com/mozilla/kuma/pull/3276 Putting the icons before the text will help the icons do their jobs and save us the trouble of trying to fix the display issues with these manually created buttons.

Fixed as part of the redesign!
Though it would be nice to move them in the code and not just re-position them with CSS...
It sounds like the work is done, with some possible follow-on improvements form cleaner CSS/HTML. Which I doubt we'll get to... Can we close this bug?
