ICU 54 splits units data (http://bugs.icu-project.org/trac/ticket/11092). My understand is that localized units data is unused on Intl API and others. We should remove it from in-tree source and data. BZ2 tarball size is reduced around ~600KB

Comment on attachment 8628097 [details] [diff] [review] Remove unit/*.txt From ICU 54, units localized data becomes another files. I think that Gecko tree (Intl API and etc) doesn't use localized units name.
