The alarm is not fired at 7:20 am. At 7:20 am, screen of device is off. When we get up at 8:00 am, we open the phone to see what time it is and the 7:20am alarm is fired.

Was the device *powered* ON or *powered* OFF at the time the alarm was supposed to get triggered?
In my case the device was off. The timeline is: before 7:20am at 7:20am 8:00am power: off off on alarm: not fired fired

To be extra clear, alarms don't work if the device is off. It's like this in all smartphones I know (and it was not like this in previous feature phones I used).

All cases mentioned at this issue are device **POWER ON** but the screen of device is **LIGHT OFF**.
