User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.130 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Just use Firefox. It doesnt matter what site I go to the crashes seem to happen randomly. It also happened after I did a clean install (deleted %app% data as well) and was installing addons. 


Actual results:

Firefox just crashes seems to be something name IonMonkey but I dont know what it is. I have opened a support ticket in the forums but I was advised to come here.

Expected results:

Firefox should be stable.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting these issues, so far I have no idea what might cause all these crashes.  It seems that some of these issues might be related to uninitialized variables, even if I don't know how yet.

IonMonkey is the Just-In-Time compiler used by the JavaScript engine for generating machine code, to make it run faster.

As a temporary work-around, I might suggest you to visit "about:config" and to disable the option named "javascript.options.ion".

Thank you for your reply, I have toggled the entry to false. If you can think of anything else please let me know. I love FF and its a shame that its giving me so much guff.
