Details
Calling 'Remove breakpoint', 'Remove others' or 'Remove all breakpoints' from the context menu within the 'Sources' panel visually removes disabled breakpoints from the list.
Though after a page reload they reappear.

The new debugger frontend fixes this issue. So, should I already close this issue or keep it open until the new UI gets shipped?

Wait, this is actually already fixed in the current UI (in Firefox 54.0.1), so I close this bug now. Sorry for bothering you, Jason!
