crumley@able.space.umn.edu, are you able to reproduce this problem?

WFM with Sparc Solaris nightly build 200112210 and a local build from 20011227 under Solaris 7. Reporter: what build are you having this problem with? What version of Solaris? Is this under CDE or some other window manager? What's the color bit depth of you display?

I'm using nightly build 200112210, under solaris 2.7, color depth 24, using sawfish as a window manager. I have also tried RUNNING from solaris 2.8, displaying on the same solaris 2.7 box. I'll try and repeat on a different box. --Jack

I tried this on another 2.7 box, and it didn't crash. After doing a pkginfo -l and comparing the output between the two boxes, it looks like the problem is with Sun's OpenGL 1.2.1 stuff. --Jack

After a bit of digging, the 200112210 snapshot is incompatible with Sun OpenGL 1.2.1, 1.2.2 on Solaris 27. It works with the 1.2.3 beta, though. --Jack

Seeing the same problem on Solaris 10, GNOME 1.4, sawfish, 24-bit color depth. FWIW, Netscape 4.79 has no problems with "File->Close" on the same system. However, I do not have any OpenGL packages installed.

I just installed OpenGL 1.2.3 and restarted my X windows system. I still see the same browser crash when closing a window. I'd like to know how the submitter determined that the problem exists in the OpenGL packages...
