When going from Firefox app back to home screen, then back to Firefox ; you are prompted to a new startup page. 

This is rather frustrating as you expect to find the application in the sane state as when you left it. 

You also lose any forms that was started.

There's an addon that was written to solve this:

I don't like the default flow either, though. I'd like to see it changed too.

Between this and the UX for switching browser tabs being poor (and/or not having an OS level easy task switcher button like Android 5 - long pressing home is too slow) this makes using the browser pretty frustrating.
