1180450 - no fast way to view open apps from home screen

Only method u have found is to press & hold the home button. That is much slower than flicking. 

Why is the home screen special? It's just another app to me.

FWIW I turned off the virtual home button completely (Enable "Home Gesture" in Developer options).

This leaves swiping up from the bottom of the screen for "Home" and two-finger swipe up for "Show App switcher", which are both much more ergonomic and (to me) intuitive than the Home button that hogs valuable screen real estate all the time and arguably pretty ugly, too.

If anything this feature (hiding the home button) should be at least advertised more (the Tablet FTU had a tutorial teaching these gestures on first use) and the toggle exposed in the general Settings UI.
