RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1180486

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150511103303

Steps to reproduce:

With a new profile, I open Firefox Hello and click "start a conversation".

Actual results:

- A conversation window opens with the text "name this conversation".
- My webcam's LED illuminates.
- An orange microphone icon and an orange camera icon briefly appear.
- A second later, the icons disappear, a sound plays, and the conversation window text changes to "something went wrong."

There is no output in the web developer console.

There is no output in the about:webrtc log. (I clicked both "Start debug mode" and "Start AEC logging" beforehand.)

The only output on stdout or stderr is this:

 console.error: Loop
 on error:
 update:qoIqDrw_vOQ

Expected results:

I should have been allowed to use Hello, or if there really was a problem preventing that, Firefox should have told me what it was, rather than displaying an unbelievably useless error message.
