1180729 - Camera black screen when lock screen

When at the lock screen, and I slide the unlock slider to the camera, the back camera has the "black screen of death". I can work around this by tapping to the front camera, then back again to the back camera, and the camera works fine. But the process removes the convenience of having an easy camera-from-unlock feature.

I cannot replicate this with the front camera.

Interesting. This might be related to the HWC issues that we were investigating around release time.

Interestingly enough, sometimes it has an entirely white screen (and the camera isn't covered, nor is it pointing at something all-white). I'd say maybe 1 in 20 times or something...I've had it be white 2-3 times total.

When you say that you had a white screen, does it return to showing the preview?  Or does it get stuck at the white screen?

I think it's the camera driver still loading for the white screen.  Not sure.  Hema, can you find someone to take a look into this please?

Attachment: logs from a black camera screen

It gets stuck - black screen or white screen. I managed to get logs when it was stuck on a black screen, see attached.
