Description: In the Camera app, if self-timer is enabled and the user presses the on-screen shutter button during the countdown, the countdown restarts with each press and no flash occurs. If the user presses the hardware camera button during the countdown, a flash is triggered with each press and the countdown does not reset. Repro Steps: 1) Update a Aries to 20150706103023 2) Go to the Camera app. 3) Tap the icon in the upper right, and set the Self-Timer to 2, 5, or 10. 4) Start the countdown by pressing either camera button, then press the hardware camera several times. Actual: Hardware camera button triggers flash during countdown. Expected: Pressing the hardware camera button does not trigger flash, and the countdown is reset. Notes: Environmental Variables: Device: Aries 2.5 Build ID: 20150706103023 Gaia: dc6c18c0dea7af3c40bfff86c530fd877d899dc4 Gecko: cef11c3e86c3 Gonk: 2916e2368074b5383c80bf5a0fba3fc83ba310bd Version: 42.0a1 (2.5) Firmware Version: D5803_23.1.A.1.28_NCB.ftf User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:42.0) Gecko/42.0 Firefox/42.0 Repro frequency: 6/6 See attached: video clip, logcat
This issue appears to be specific to Aries 2.5, it does not occur on Flame 2.5. Flame 2.5 Actual Result: Using the volume buttons as the hardware shutter button, the flash does not occur. However, there is an issue in that the hardware buttons do not reset the timer: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1151625 (Bug 1151625 - [Camera][Volume Rocker] Pressing the volume button during a self timer countdown will not cancel the countdown) Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.5 BuildID: 20150706010204 Gaia: dc6c18c0dea7af3c40bfff86c530fd877d899dc4 Gecko: 136c41fca853 Gonk: a4f6f31d1fe213ac935ca8ede7d05e47324101a4 Version: 42.0a1 (2.5) Firmware Version: v18D-1 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:42.0) Gecko/42.0 Firefox/42.0
