User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0
Build ID: 20150615123749

Steps to reproduce:

Open freelance.com
Click Login - takes you to secure.freelance.com
Enter information - clicking login button executes a javascript function which I don't have the time to debug (not my site), but I get nothing at all from Firefox. From Chrome, this button works fine. I'm guessing a difference in DOM maybe?

Actual results:

Nothing

Expected results:

It's hard to tell without having an actual account, but if I just put in a random email and password and click the "Login" button... nothing happens in either Firefox or a Chrome dev build. The console shows an "Invalid JSON" exception in both browsers, from the site trying to parse some HTML as JSON.
Chrome 43.0.2357.130 logs in fine.

I will let the site owners know whats going on, but this is what will happen. They will tell me that no one else has problems. It works on Chrome (and probably IE) and 90% of their customers. They aren't likely to fix it.

So ... if they don't fix it, and you don't fix it, then I add this as one more site that I have to switch to Chrome to use. How many sites do I have to put on the "Chrome-only" list before I drop Firefox? Besides, Firefox is using 3 times the memory of Chrome ... so keeping them both open is insane.
I was trying Chrome 45.0.2438.3 (dev channel).

Just tried Chrome release 43.0.2357.132 and I see the same thing as I described in comment 1.

What do you see if you try to log in with Chrome but put in an incorrect email address if I might ask?
OK, so I went ahead and created a freelance account to test with. I can log in fine with Firefox 39 and the email/password for the account I created...

So here's a question: if you run Firefox in safe mode, can you log in on this site?
WTF ... a wrong email gives a nothing. A wrong password and correct email gives an error message. I fired up firefox and it connected! I let it use the auto-filled information and it went right in. There is no way it was working earlier because the auto-filled info hasn't changed!!

I don't understand. This site has always been broken on Firefox. But marking solved since there is no way anyone can fix this now!
