Clunky is the wrong word, but I can't think of the right word Video playback on quite a few sites on Mac (including youtube) is pretty bad on Mac for me (on this machine at least) At 1080p I experience browser slowness. At 1080p 60fps/1440p it becomes near enough unwatchable. At 4K, it's completely awful and grinds Firefox nearly to a halt. Chrome performs perfectly under all these cirumstances. Attempted on a new profile, and disabling hardware acceleration didn't help at all.
Is this still happening to you, Tom?

Sorry. Missed needinfo. Yes, playback atill sucks
Can you please provide more details such as the version of firefox you're using, the hardware you're using. links to videos giving you issues etc... As it is it's not actionable. For 60fps, this could be related to bug 1230641
This isn't a contained issue, so I'm unable to simply offer a list of videos. Hardware info: Intel HD Graphics 3000: Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 3000 Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Dynamic, Max): 512 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x0116 Revision ID: 0x0009 It doesn't even seem to be at just 1080p, all video I play on Firefox seems to have an impact on the whole system's performance. This isn't true for Safari or Chrome, so we can probably rule out hardware being the issue (but I'm no expert, so tell me if I'm wrong! :) )
