User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 20150711190510 Steps to reproduce: I do wonder, why the inbox subfolders "Draft", "Sent", "Archives", "Junk", "Trash" et al of an POP3 account (first in the attached screen shot) and of a local mbox account (2nd in that screen shot) are not grouped under "Inbox" - as it is made inthe IMAP accounts (all subsequent in the screen shot). Expected results: POP3 and local should behave like IMAP. Then many accounts can be checked w/o scrolling (as seen in the example for tinderbox@zwioebeltoralf.de) at the same time.
Component: Untriaged → Folder and Message Lists
Summary: inbox folder grouping differs between POP3/local and IMAP → Inbox folder subfolders differ between POP3/local and IMAP
It may be because IMAP and POP folders are behaving differently. On IMAP, all folders are on the server and the server can manage them (even add/remove). on POP you manage folders locally and also create messages in the other folders locally. Incoming messages only come into Inbox and the server does not touch the other folders. You could put the special folders under Inbox manually. But I am not sure what it would be good for. I think the special folders do not conceptually belong under Inbox. So I do not know why they show up that way in the IMAP case. Maybe it is only the specific IMAP server that you use.
I don't believe this is a bug.
