User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 20150629114049 Steps to reproduce: Ubuntu 15.04, x86_64. Firefox 39.0, Flash plugin 11.2.202.481ubuntu0.15.04.1 (the latest available in the official Ubuntu repos). When I view a page with Flash content, Firefox blocks this content and only shows it when I manually click it. I want Flash content to be always shown by default, so I went to the plugin settings and tried to change it to 'Always Active'. Actual results: Firefox doesn't allow me to choose 'Always Active', the option is greyed out. Expected results: The option should be available.

This is by design. When a plugin is known to be vulnerable, we do not allow users to choose "always activate". When you install the latest version which is not vulnerable, this will return to its normal behavior.

The installed plugin version is the latest available on Ubuntu. How can I install a newer version if there isn't one?
You have to wait a new patched version from Adobe.
