Steps to reproduce:

0. boot ubuntu livecd
1. install e.g. ambiance-dark-red theme:
   http://www.noobslab.com/2014/05/ambiance-dark-with-red-flavor-gtk-theme.html
2. Run firefox 38 or later, open about:config as a prominent example
3. See hard to read black text instead of expected white text as it was in firefox 37

Firefox should look nice and consistent as it did in firefox 37.
