118362 - mail window front end extends off the right edge of the toplevel window

Build is from late on Jan 04, 2002.

The edge of the mail window extends off the right side of the window making
scrollbars and most of the information about a message inaccessable.  I'll
attach a screenshot of what I'm talking about.  This is the first time I've seen
it so it's shown up in the last two days or so.

This is really bad.  Sometimes I get garbage rendered in the message area,
sometimes the mail message display area will be resized to a random size, and
lots of other various problems.  Something is seriously screwed.  I can
reproduce this in modern and classic.

OK, this is happening in my RPM builds now so it's not just my local build and
it's not a dependency issue.  I guess I get to binary search for the Bad Bad
checkin now.

I'm seeing this happen in Navigator too, when the window is resized to a very
narrow width.  It looks like Hyatt's checking for bug 115748 removed some lines
in global.css that were intended to prevent this from occurring.

Can you reproduce the problem I'm seeing?  And does removing this fix the
problem for you?

Also, I'm on Linux and this file is in a win/ directory and I see this in both
the classic and modern theme.

Looking closer, I don't think what I'm seeing is exactly what you're seeing. 
For me, the scrollbar only extends off the right of the window when the window
width is very small.  Yours seems to happen when the window is very large, which
I can't reproduce.  Sorry for the misdirection.  I'll open a new bug for the
issue I'm seeing, if I can't find it already reported.

If I back out the changes to nsBox.cpp the problem goes away.  ( thanks bryner,
for the good guess. )
