I have been facing this problem since 0.9.6. It prevents me from using mozilla.

The HTML form elements ( edit boxex, check boxes, select list boxes, etc ) are
not being rendered correctly. The windows for these boxes are not being created.

The options for a select box are simply listed as text.
I am not sure about this, but this may have started happening after I installed
the mutzilla tabbed window plugin. I tried un-installing everything ( mozilla
and mutzilla ) and reinstalling mozilla. But it has not changed anything,

I am running Windows 2000 SP2, with 256 mb, Celeron 500. The mozilla build is
2001122106.
This is a snap shot of priceline.com's home page usign mozilla 0.9.7, build
2001122106 on windows 2000 sp2. Note that the form for entering the itinerary
is rendered incorrectly.

I am also attaching a snap shot of the same page taken at the same time using
IE 6.0 on my machine.
A snap shot of priceline.com using IE 5.0 SP2 on Windows 2000 SP2. Compare this
image with the previous attachment. Both were rendered at the same time on the
my machine (windows 2000 sp2 )
Severity: blocker → normal
Looks fine for me, on both Win98SE 2002010403, and Win98 0.9.7 (both without
multizilla)
Are you sure you do not have XBL from controls enabled? I see that on alot of
form elements when I try out the XBL from controls.

Go to debug under preferences...and make sure the box is unchecked.

this wfm on build 2002010508 on Windows 2000 SP2

(I have never installed multizilla.)

Also you could try and delete your profile and create a new one.
Page looks exactly like what one would expect if XBL form controls were on.
Please reopen if the behavior continues after you turn them off in debug
preferences and restart the browser.
