Just a thought: if there is no Export option for TB mail, it might be a reason not to implement an Import option for it either. Hence I’d plead for both of them, especially now the MozBackup add-on is no longer supported or even considered to be unreliable. Until then, one should rely on copying entire TB profiles as explained in https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-tb and https://support.mozilla.org/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer.
Summary: import backupped thunderbird mail! → Import backed up Thunderbird mail
Why there is no option to copy the backups to local maps? Now i copy the content of the backup via Extra - accounts settings - local maps to a temporary map and change it back to standard settings. But this is a devious solution.
