In the upcoming OS X 10.11, the search input fields have a apparitional text below the search field text. See screenshot. I don't know if this is a core issue, but I have not found this in Firefox. Tested: OS X 10.11 15A216g, Thunderbird trunk (42.0a1) and 38.1

In Firefox this is reproducible in the bookmarks library window and in the bookmarks sidebar.

I just installed Beta 5 and can no longer reproduce this, so I think Apple fixed it.

I still see this, but only if I build the application by my own with 10.11 SDK. 10.10 SDK and lower is fine.
