dup of bug #65720 ?
It's probably a dup. But then the severity of bug #65720 shouldn't be enhancement, because it's a real bug. If you check the box leave messages on server, you expect mozilla to do it.
I had this problem about a month or two ago. I created a new profile using a later build and the problem went away. Using the old profile and a new build, I deleted and re-created the email account and the problem disappeared, the "leave mail on server" checkbox worked properly. In my case it was a profile problem and it seemed to start when I selected password mananger to remember my email password. Anyway, the problem has disappeared and not returned.
I created a new account but it didn't work (Build ID 2002040108). To be more precise movemail didn't work at all. I couldn't load any new messages. Also when I check the leave message on server box, the information was not saved. So same behaviour as before.
definitely confirming this bug as it happens for me too and i heard people on irc saying they have it too. changing os to all (i have win32). new profile didn't help.

Whoa whoa there rossi, movemail doesn't even make sense on win32. It's not built there. The smaller issue here is that the 'leave messages on server' feature doesn't exist for movemail and isn't likely to ever do so, but the real issue is that there really isn't a UI for movemail in the tree -- any movemail configuration done outside of editing the prefs file is at your own risk and will probably lead to weirdness anyway. Rather than morph this bug into 'there isn't a working config UI for movemail at all' bug, I'm going to close this one and request that interested parties file a new bug along those lines if desired.
