Steps to reproduce:

Compare a Firefox download and another download notification


Actual results:

Firefox uses a different icon than the one the system uses.


Expected results:

Firefox should use the default system icon. The icon is publicly available in Java as android.R.drawable.stat_sys_download and android.R.drawable.stat_sys_download_done and should be used instead.

Attachment: wrong notification

I have seen this on the LG Optimus Dynamic II and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket both running 4.1.2, and also, it doesn't match the layout of the default download notification. The first two are downloaded with Opera and AOSP Browser and the last one is FF.

This screenshot is from the Skyrocket (I don't have the LG with me at the moment).

I guess the icon show is the choice of the app developer and the developers of firefox have chosen the icon you see for download notifications. I do not see why this is a issue for you. I see it more of a convenience as you could easily differentiate the files you download from firefox from the other download options.
