Check the vertical video (in the 3rd) chapter.

It is originated in iPhone iOS vertically. When you hit play it is presented horizontally sideways.

Rotating 90deg will rotate the controls as well

Google Chrome somehow manages to overcome this issue, it would have been nice if firefox managed to do the same

Expected results:

Video should be displayed vertically

Is this an issue with Firefox on your computer or Firefox on your iOS device?

I cannot reproduce this bug on Firefox for iOS but I can reproduce it on Firefox Nightly.

iOS isn't using gecko, this can't belong to Core.

We really, have no support for image orientation in the media stack

I've had the same problem uploading videos to Facebook on Android. It would be good to hook up the video orientation metadata.
