1185628 - Options dialog cursor mouse position is off and top part of program is cutoff with HWA enabled

Steps to reproduce:

Updated to 38.1.0 and it happened right after update


Actual results:

Cursor/arrow position seems to be off. If i want to click a button, i need to click a couple rows below it to actually press it. Same if i want to enter text in a message at a certain position, i have to click a couple rows below to actually have text appear where i want it. 

Also the top part of the program is cutoff and it seems all dialog windows and popups of the program are like this. It seems the program itself is shifted up and under the top border of the window hiding the top portion of the program.




Expected results:

The top portion of the windows contents should be visible on all windows and where you place the cursor is where it should appear. Also when clicking mouse on a button it should work.

Solved issue. Went to Options > Advanced > General and turned off hardware acceleration when available and all issues were fixed.

Seems dupe of bug 1185829. Althogh this bug is older, the other one has been tracked for more time in meta bug 1195947. Not sure, so I leave it as is.

Thanks. I think keeping one bug open for each OS is the right call for now.

Matt, do you still have problems in version 45 with HWA enabled?  If yer, is it better with beta version from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ ?

Turns out this was caused by addon Theme Font Size Changer
