The java console window is grey out on mac os 9.2 (2002-01-07-08-trunk) or visit this url: http://www.java.sun.com , you would see the top right corner under "The Source for java Technology, Industry News,... click on "MORE"... However, this is missing. It works fine on Mac OS 10.1.

Patrick, I just tried on mac os 9.2 (trunk build: 2002-01-24-08-trunk) when I visit this site: http://www.java.sun.com, the applet does not load. Select Tasks >Tools > Java Console The java console windows is grey out.
Patrick, sorry it was my mistake. I somehow disabled java in the pref. dialog, so this bug is invalid.
