Details

Compilation and linkage tests for Rust and C are currently done manually through AC evaluation: https://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/configure.in#478

We can make this look more like other autoconf tests by introducing some Rust macros for autoconf.
I think this bug is obsolete. We've moved the rust detection into to the new `mozconfigure` python modules. Feel free to re-open if you think there's still something to be done here.
