After setting up (6 or so) different imap accounts including one that's got the
wrong username, I found this error. Changing the username inside the imap
preferences for that IMAP account causes a cautionary windows to come up ("You
have changed your username. Please check some other settings" or something
similar I've not written down). Dismissing this window is the LAST THING one
can do as a user of Mozilla. The only other thing one can do is to kill the
app, because one cannot interact with the configuration window any longer, and
no other moz window can get focus.
Murphy's law says that this only happens on the last account, and I only notice
this after everything's set up, BCCing and Imapping perfectly. Now, if I could
find and shoot the man who broke the forwarding...

Reporter, what version of mozilla you were running on (ie, the build id)? This
problem sounds like a dup of bug 113590 which was fixed on 01/02/02. Can you
also tell me what username you were trying to change to (ie, from 'abc' to
'xyz')? Thanks.

Apparently my bug pre-dates the fix. Good catch.
The username was (in keeping with your salutation) 'reporterc' to 'reporter' (in
reality, it was 'bishopc' to 'bishop', but I don't warrant a name) 8-)

So, can you run the latest build and make sure that your problem is fixed?
We'll make it a dup of bug 113590 if it's indeed fixed.

No response from reporter in several monthes. Resolving as duplicate as per
comment 4.
