User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/44.0.2403.107 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Opened a few tabs(8 or more) and browsed for some hours(less than 3). Actual results: Mozilla not responds, take so much time to close tabs. Unable to open new tab, because it is very slow. Still slow even after closing most of the tabs. Expected results: Close tabs and able to open new tabs.
I never had less than 15/20 tabs open, they all work fine and smooth, I geuss this happens on yours because of some add-ons or something, Can you please try starting firefox in safe mode and browse for while https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode also provide your PC's configuration here and check your control panel to make sure unnecessary third party applications don't exist there.
Summary: Mozilla becoming too slow → Firefox becomes too slow with more tabs opened
Flags: needinfo?(rahulpanthode)
It works better in safe mode. May be the addons that makes the problem.

Now you can disable your add-ons one by one and figure out which one is causing the issue, Please find it and let us know here

Similar issue here: since (one of) the last updates Firefox becomes very slow when a lot of tabs (here: >60 with Tab Mix Plus in several rows) are open for some time (several hours). Everything was fine one/ some versions ago...
Sorry about that, your message was not clear to me, still. If you see your browser working fine while in safe mode, then it's nothing made by firefox. And you or I can mark this bug as invalid. Thanks
Hello Rahul, Were you able to figure out which add-on was causing this bug? Are you still experiencing this bug now? Thank you, Justin

> If you see your browser working fine while in safe mode, then it's nothing made by > firefox. No, it could just as easily be a bug in Firefox that's only triggered by an addon. For example, bug 1224577 is such a bug.
I will close this bug due to lack of response. If the issue persists I will happily reopen.
