This works for me on Ubuntu 16.0 with latest Nightly 51.0a1, 20160908030434. I used File > Open File. The file picker appears in front of the browser, as expected. Reporter, do you have an example page of with a browse button at which this still fails for you?

Hi, I didn't reproduce the issue right now (tbh I've forgotten this issue...) So we can close it !
