User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.130 Safari/537.36 OPR/30.0.1835.125 Steps to reproduce: I do already have three twitter accounts and wanted to add a fourth one. Actual results: After doing so (and on every startup) I am presented with the newly created account identity and I am asked to enter my password. Pressing the button "Authorize" shows an error page saying "The requested page does not exist". Expected results: It should have redirect the page to the "success page" saying something like "you successfully authorized Thunderbird".
Does this only happen for you when three accounts already exist, or can you also reproduce it with a fresh profile (i.e. for the first twitter account being created)? (You can create another profile by using the -P command line option to start Thunderbird.)
I tried the Twitter authorization with a blank profile and it worked. Seems it will be hard to find the reason for that strange behaviour.
Thanks for testing! It does seeem like this could take some tracking down. If you still have that profile, you could try 1) adding another twitter account and/or 2) adding a second twitter account while the first one is already connected to see if that makes a difference.
I tested both: the new profile authorized four Twitter accounts without problems.
Thanks again. I'm tempted to say you ran into a twitter server-side fluke then? The only other thing I can think of is to check your cookie prefs in the original protocol, maybe they are not default in some way.
yes, it seems to be a "not really reproducable" bug ... I guess I will have to start over with a completely blank profile. I just wanted to avoid to readd and reconfigure my twenty accounts ... thank you for your suggestions!
Resolving as WFM for now.
